ANALISIS SWOT PELAUT WANITA DI INDONESIA

Gender equality to find job in ship for female sailors have not been properly realised. The number of female sailors is 0.6% from 100% sailor men. Some shipping companies in Indonesia still has a negative stigma against women sailors. Women sailors were judged vulnerable sexually abused due to the number of minorities on boat. This research analyzes women sailors opportunities to get a job on boat by using SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunities, Analysis).
The results of deliberations retrieved seafaring internal factor is the strength of female sailors strengths is they have precision and accuracy to doing the job, communication skill above and below, have the multitasking ability, and more supple female sailors easier to control emotions when encountering problems. Female sailors weakness is about among other physical limitations, family orientation, high sensitivity and empathy. External factors are obtained from this study where opportunities for female sailors among the presence of IFMA (Indonesia Female Mariner) formed in 2016, there is cooperation with the shipping company as well as promotion. Other external factors i.e.female sailors threats is the existence of sexual harassment, bullying, and restrictions on the acceptance of female crew on his boat. The conclusions drawn from this study finding of gender discrimination in hiring female sailors existence Suggestion submitted inter alia encouraged the active participation of women sailors as well as optimize the competence of female sailors.
Kesetaraan gender dalam mendapat pekerjaan dikapal bagi pelaut wanita belum terealisasi dengan baik. Jumlah pelaut wanita adalah 0,6% dari 100% pelaut pria. Beberapa perusahaan pelayaran yang ada di Indonesia masih memiliki stigma negatif terhadap pelaut wanita. Pelaut wanita dinilai rentan mengalami pelecehan seksual dikarenakan jumlah yang minoritas dikapal. Penelitian ini menganalisis peluang pelaut wanita untuk mendapatkan pekerjaan dikapal dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT (Strength, Analysis, Weakness, Opportunities). Hasil pembahasan diperoleh faktor internal pelaut wanita yang merupakan kekuatan adalah pelaut wanita memiliki ketelitian dan ketepatan dalam melakukan pekerjaan, memiliki kemampuan komunikasi keatas dan kebawah, memiliki kemampuan multitasking, dan pelaut wanita lebih luwes serta lebih mudah mengendalikan emosi saat menghadapi permasalahan. Weakness atau kelemahan dari pelaut wanita antara lain keterbatasan fisik, orientaasi keluarga, sensitivitas dan empati yang tinggi. Faktor eksternal yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini dimana opportunities atau peluang pelaut wanita bekerja dikapal antara adanya IFMA (Indonesia Female Mariner) yang terbentuk ditahun 2016, adanya kerjasama dengan perusahaan pelayaran serta promosi. Faktor eksternal lain yakni threats atau ancaman bagi pelaut wanita bekerja dikapal yakni adanya pelecehan seksual, bullying, dan pembatasan penerimaan kru wanita dikapal. Kesimpulan yang ditarik dari penelitian ini yakni masih adanya diskriminasi gender dalam mempekerjakan pelaut wanita. Saran yang disampaikan antara lain mendorong partisipasi aktif pelaut wanita serta mengoptimalkan kompetensi pelaut wanita.
