Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Promote application on land asset management and monitoring effectiveness at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) from a Management Information Systems (MIS) perspective. Employing a quantitative causal-associative approach with simple linear regression analysis, data were collected from 84 respondents selected through purposive sampling from 541 Commercial and Business Department employees who actively use the Promote application in daily land asset management operations. Instrument validity was confirmed (r > 0.279) and reliability was excellent (Cronbach's Alpha: X = 0.975; Y = 0.968). Normality tests (Shapiro-Wilk, p > 0.05) and heteroscedasticity tests confirmed classical assumption compliance. Results demonstrate a significant positive influence of the Promote application on land asset management and monitoring (β = 1.016, t = 15.141, p < 0.001), with the application explaining 73.7% of variance in monitoring outcomes (R² = 0.737) and exhibiting a very strong correlation (R = 0.858). Findings align with Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and DeLone-McLean IS Success Model constructs, confirming that system quality, information quality, and ease of use drive application adoption and management effectiveness. The study contributes empirical evidence on IT-based asset management in the maritime port sector and recommends system quality enhancement, infrastructure improvement, and regular user training to maximize land management and monitoring effectiveness.
